Willow Creek

10/8/2013

Picture
Willow Creek follows boldly and blatantly in the footsteps of The Blair Witch Project.
Willow Creek follows boldly and blatantly in the footsteps of The Blair Witch Project. The one thing that distinguishes and saves this film from a complete plagiaristic slam, is its humour. Willow Creek is funny and they do an amazing job with the scare factor. The dialogue is witty and well delivered. The set up and tension are curl-up-in-your-seat scary with a very Deliverance feel, and the payoff is nicely constructed. Director Bobcat Goldthwait clearly knows his genre and melds it nicely with a moralistic look at behavioural consequences.
